Poker Night in America Starts Sunday on CBS Sports Network
Sunday night is "Poker Night in America", as the new series is set to debut this coming weekend on the CBS Sports Network. Poker Night in America will run for 26 consecutive weeks with the goal of "bringing personality back to poker."
Seeking to recapture the excitement of televised poker past, Poker Night in America will feature a wide variety of characters ranging from famous pros to complete amateurs. Due to the rotating cast and different poker formats the show's creators are hopeful that each week will bring something different to the table.
"We're making poker fun again - that's our real goal. We think poker players and fans have been looking for something new and fresh for a long time. We believe 'Poker Night in America' will soon become must-see television for all serious players and fans," said creator and president Todd Anderson.
Poker Night in America has already filmed in four locations including Turning Stone Resort (NY), Reno Peppermill, Rivers (PA), and Maryland Live! - with another film sessions scheduled for later this summer. Tune in this Sunday, June 29th at 10pm ET on the CBS Sports Network and follow some of the games most intriguing personalities as they compete in cash games, tournaments, and other entertaining off-felt activities.
